INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS AT THE FOREFRONT FOR 2015

With 2014 having provided a continued focus on unlawful misconduct of the CFMEU on Victorian building sites, it is imperative that organisations have current and clear industrial relations policies and procedures in place to deal more effectively with disputes over enterprise agreements, occupational health and safety (OHS) concerns and other industry-related issues.

 

As we move further into 2015, we are seeing the continuation of the Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption, legislation before the Senate to re-establish the ABCC, and a renewed focus on code compliance, particularly as the standard Industry EBA passes its nominal expiry date.

 

Master Builders’ “Managing Onsite Industrial Relations” (MOIR) course offers information designed for site management, forepersons and project managers interacting with union representatives.
